Abstract

The phytochemical screenings methanol extract from bark of manggis (Garcinia cymosa) has been done. Powder of bark was extracted by using maceration method with methanol. The isolated compounds in methanol extract were identified by phytochemical screenings (Meyer, Wagner, Dragendroff, Cyandin, Lieberman burchad and another reactan test) and Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method. The result showed that methanol extract bark of manggis consist of coumarin, flavonoid, phenolic, steroid, terpenoid, and saponin.
