Abstract
Teaching English should have a strategy in delivering the teaching material. One medium that can be used to teach pronunciation is a song, which the students played song in English and then they were asked to listen carefullytocorrect their pronunciation,the teaching of pronunciation to increase listening skill by using songs media to motivation of the students. The objectives of this research are to describe (1) To understand words or pharases spoken by teacher in the use of songs media to increase listening skill (2) To know the kinds of songs are used by the teacher in the teaching of pronunciation to increase students listening skill In this research, the researcher uses descriptive qualitative design because the study tries to get description of Teaching Pronunciation to increase Listeing skill using songs media at the Eighth grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Banjarmasin School Year 2016-2017. The subject of the research is English teacher who guides class at the eighth grade which consists of 20 students. The object of the research is the teaching pronunciation in listening skill by using songs media. The technique of collecting data were observation, interview and document. Based on the findings, it can concluded and the use of songs media help the teacher to explain the materials easily to motivate their students in the teaching and learning process, especially listening skill and it has many advantages in the teaching and learning of pronunciation by using songs make the students stimulate listen English very well.
