Abstract
Research about reduction of BOD and COD from sasirangan wastewater using Multi Soil Layering (MSL) method have been done. MSL known as a method which easy to apply, low cost and can be running continuously without routine maintenance. MSL method have been widely used for wastewater treatment such as domestic wastewater, livestock wastewater, rubber industry wastewater and hotel industry wastewater. However, MSL method for treating of sasirangan wastewater have not been widely reported. In this research was found that Multi Soil Layering Method can be used for reducing concentration of BOD and COD from sasirangan wastewater. An analysis of BOD and COD from wastewater shown the best result at fifth day running time which 50 Liter wastewater samples passed through the reactor. The highest value of BOD and COD reduction was 63,89 % and 65,62%.
